Andre began his triathlon career after graduating as an electrical engineer.  His first Ironman brought him victory as an age-group triathlete and got him to Kona as an amateur.  He went on to place 6^th at the Ironman World Championships.  In 2019, Andre took 3^rd at IM 70.3 Maine in 2021 and also finished 27^th place in the IM 70.3 World Championship making him the best triathlete of all Latin Americans in the race.
